Review titles, levels, and destination pages, then download the PDF. Automatic detection is a starting point and may need manual corrections.

Load your PDF and run Find headings to generate a draft outline. Correct missing or unwanted entries with the bookmark controls before downloading. A successful detection replaces the working outline with the generated draft, so review existing bookmarks before proceeding. Use Undo if you need to restore the previous outline.

Try Sensitive if headings are missing or Major headings to reduce smaller entries. Check the proposed nesting and page destinations before saving your bookmarked PDF.

This generator detects headings throughout a text-based PDF; it does not parse a table of contents and map its listed page numbers to destinations. For an outline based on a contents page, use the PDF Bookmark Editor to enter titles and target pages manually, or import a prepared JSON outline.

Image-only scans lack that information, so create their outline manually with the PDF Bookmark Editor. OCR text extraction alone does not add the font data this detector needs.
